Comedy legend, award-winning actress and best-selling author Carol Burnett is coming to the Detroit Opera House Sept. 29th! Her show, "Carol Burnett - An Evening of Laughter and Reflection," is a Q&A-style performance with Burnett reflecting on her career and taking direct questions from the audience. She will discuss her career, harkening back to the days of "The Carol Burnett Show".
“I love the spontaneity of these evenings,” she said. “I never know what anyone is going to ask, or say, or do, so it keeps me on my toes!”
Burnett is widely recognized for her comedic and dramatic roles on television, film and Broadway. Named by TIME magazine as one of “100 Best Television Shows of All Time,” "The Carol Burnett Show" ran for 11 years and received 25 Emmy Awards, making it one of the most honored shows in television history. She is also a highly-acclaimed actress and has been honored with Emmys, Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards, the Horatio Alger Award, an Ace Award, the Peabody and a Grammy.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, June 28th at 10 a.m. and are available at the Detroit Opera House box office or through Ticketmaster.
