Long before the world knew the great recording artists of Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and Adele, there was another superstar to set the world aflame: Enrico Caruso. Born in Naples, Italy in 1873, Caruso grew up to become one of the most important operatic tenors of the last century. His 1902 performance of the heart-breaking aria "Vesti la Giubba" from Leoncavallo's opera, Pagliacci, about a man who discovers his wife is having an affair, becomes the first recording to sell one million copies!
