Experience the inspiring documentary Dancemaker, followed by a Q&A with Michael Novak, Artistic Director of the Paul Taylor Dance Company. The film offers an intimate look at Paul Taylor (1930–2018) and his company over several months in 1997. Framed by the creation of Taylor’s Piazzolla Caldera—from its initial conception and rehearsals to opening night at City Center—it provides a revealing glimpse into his creative genius, his roots, and his collaborative process with dancers.

This special evening, generously hosted by 215 West Ferndale in Ferndale, will feature light refreshments and a behind-the-scenes discussion of the documentary, offering a deeper understanding of the artistry and cultural impact of this iconic dance company and the artist Paul Taylor himself chose to lead his company into the future.
