Detroit Opera offers a variety of ways to save on tickets. The best way to save on tickets is to subscribe to a season-long package. Otherwise, we have the following discounts available for Detroit Opera and Dance @Detroit Opera productions. Please note that these discounts do not apply for Broadway in Detroit or other rental productions.

Student Rush

$25 tickets available

• Valid for Detroit Opera and Dance @ Detroit Opera performances.
• On sale beginning 90 minutes before curtain in person at the Box Office.
• 1 ticket per current student ID, which is required to obtain discount.
• Kids 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult to receive the discount – no student ID required.
• The box office will select best available seating. Tickets may not be available for sold out performances.

Student Stage Pass

• To purchase the Student Stage Pass in full for the season at $140, you can register and pay online here (use link to TNEW page). 
• To pay for the Student Stage Pass monthly, please call our box office at 313.237.7464 to set up autopay with a credit card. You will be charged $20/month for each month you’re a member and in which we have productions.
• Student Stage Pass members can request one ticket for any or all performances the week of the production, based on availability.
• A current and valid student ID must be shown and recorded by the box office when you sign up or prior to requesting your first ticket. The ticket is ONLY valid for the Stage Pass
  student to use.
• You can join at any time up until January 31 and are eligible for any performance after you join.
• Tickets will be requested through the box office only. Student will be seated in best available seating determined by the box office.

Military/Veteran/First Responder

50% off discount

• Valid for Detroit Opera productions and Dance @ Detroit Opera performances.
• Tickets can be purchased by phone or in person at the box office with their ID and military/veteran/first responder ID or card.
• Up to two discounted tickets may be purchased per ID.
• Not valid on Box Premium, Price Level 1, or previous purchases.

City of Detroit Resident Rush Tickets:

Calling all city of Detroit residents! We’re excited to offer you an exclusive deal on Opera and Dance performances at the Detroit Opera House. Show your Detroit address with a valid government-issued ID and get 2 tickets for just $25.00 each (plus a $12.00 order processing fee) the week of the show.

How to Purchase: Visit the Detroit Opera House box office during the week of the performance.
What You Need: Bring your government-issued ID showing your Detroit address to complete the purchase.
Best Available Seating: Seats will be assigned based on availability at the time of purchase.
Limit: 2 tickets per person.
Note: Offer not valid on previously purchased tickets.
