Cultural Passport Performances
Tickets are $5 per student for these student-designed performances on the mainstage of the Opera House.
Recommended for 3rd grade and up.

Paul Taylor Dance Company : Friday, April 10, 11 am
The Hobbit – performed by the Detroit Opera Youth Chorus: Friday May 1, 11am
George Shirley Youth Opera Series
George Shirley Youth Opera Series – In house performances
– Designed for pre-k to 5th grade students
– bring your class to a performance of The Three Little Pigs or Storybook Opera – March 16-20 and 23-27
– Students will watch a performance and have an opportunity to tour our historic building.
Tour the Opera House
Tour our magnificently restored Detroit Opera House, including backstage areas that are not accessible to the public.
Students will learn about the history, architecture, and restoration of our historic venue—and about careers in the arts, such as stage management, costume design, lighting design, ticketing, marketing, public relations, and house management.
