This holiday season, Detroit Opera invites you to join our Gleaners Community Food Drive. Bring three canned food items to the Detroit Opera House Box Office and receive a complimentary ticket to the Thursday, December 11th performance of Highways & Valleys.
Detroit Opera will be accepting donations during regular box office hours and during each performance of Highways & Valleys. Your simple donation helps nourish our community and gains you entry to an unforgettable night of opera.
Do you already have a ticket to Highways & Valleys? We still invite you to donate items and pay your ticket forward to someone who wants to see the show or pass it on to a friend or colleague.
Gleaners accepts non-perishable foods, hygiene items, and paper products. Preferred non-perishable food items include canned goods (like meat, fish, beans, and vegetables), pasta, rice, oatmeal, peanut butter, and healthy cereals. It is best to donate items in plastic jars, not glass, and to avoid donating perishable foods, homemade goods, or expired items.
