Soloist
Aisling McGlynn is from Dublin, Ireland and has sung with the choral ensemble ANÚNA since she first appeared on the album Christmas with ANÚNA in 2009 at the age of six. She travelled to China in 2018 performing at the Three Gorges Festival representing Ireland as part of ANÚNA, which was also broadcast on Chinese national television. In 2019, Aisling appeared on Japan’s NHK TV as part of the legendary Nodojiman The World, singing the solo part of the classic anime theme, Mononoke Hime.
In June 2021 she was one of the soloists in the globe-spanning Maalaulu, which was commissioned as part of the Tampere Vocal Music Festival. She performed alongside ANÚNA, Finnish soprano Marjukka Tepponen and Isaac S Cates’ gospel group Ordained from Kansas City, USA.
Aisling features as soloist on three songs on the soundtrack of the video game Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, to be released in April 2022. She performed as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Eímear Noone at London’s Royal Albert Hall in June 2022, where she sang a number of solo songs composed by Yasunori Mitsuda including two from Chrono Cross: Memories of My Soul and A Vow of Wind and Dreams. In March 2023, Aisling featured in the lineup of Daughters of the Pirate Queen: The Spirit of Grace O’Malley, singing with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland under the baton of Eímear Noone at Dublin’s National Concert Hall.
She is a member of Systir and performed in April with this female off-shoot of ANÚNA in Belgium, Ireland and the Netherlands.
