
Todd Strange is a versatile lyric tenor with a distinguished career spanning opera, concert work, musical theater, session singing, and professional ensemble performance. He is a proud member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and LA Opera and has appeared as a soloist with leading regional opera companies and symphonies across the U.S. and abroad. His credits include principal and supporting roles with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Long Beach Opera, Pacific Opera Project, New York City Opera, Arizona Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Utah Festival Opera, Ohio Light Opera, and San Diego Opera, among others.
A sought-after session singer, Todd has contributed to numerous major film scores, including Wicked, Sing (as the operatic camel), Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Avatar 2, The Lion King, Frozen, Minions, and The Simpsons. His collaborations include work with John Williams and recordings with the LA Phil, LA Master Chorale, Hollywood Scoring, Albany Records, and Ohio Light Opera.
In 2022, Todd earned acclaim for his portrayal of Donald Trump in Anthony Davis’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opera, The Central Park Five, with Long Beach Opera, a role he will reprise in his Detroit Opera debut.
Beyond opera, Todd is an accomplished stand-up and sketch comedian, performing regularly at LA’s top comedy clubs, where he seamlessly blends classical music with sharp humor.
