As artificial intelligence reshapes the boundaries of human creativity, opera—a centuries-old art form—has the potential to stand at the forefront of this transformation. The University of Michigan AI Lab proudly presents Beyond Human a symposium exploring the intersection of AI, music, and theatrical storytelling. In conjunction with Detroit Opera’s highly anticipated world-premiere production of Così fan tutte (April 5-13), this event brings together visionaries from the fields of opera, computer science, design, and robotics to examine how AI is revolutionizing composition, performance, and art.
