In advance of his performances this May as Malcolm X in X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X, Detroit Opera’s Artist in Residence, Davóne Tines, offers his RECITAL #1: MASS for Metro Detroit audiences.

This 65 minute recital features Bass-Baritone Davóne Tines, with accompaniment by Detroit favorite Alvin Waddles and a performance by students from Detroit School of the Arts.
Recital #1 is an exploration of the Mass woven through Western European, African American, and 21st Century traditions.
Audience members must show proof of full vaccination or provide proof of a negative PCR or Rapid test within 72 hours of performance time. Face coverings must be worn at all times.
