Children are welcome for Opera and Dance. However, all guests are required to hold a ticket, regardless of age. Babies in arms are not permitted. And, while we do not enforce a universal age limit for performances, we do ask parents to use their best judgement with regard to the appropriateness of individual performances for their own children. We ask all of our guests to be considerate of their fellow patrons so everyone is able to enjoy the performance without unnecessary distraction.
Events such Broadway musicals may establish their own age restrictions. Please refer to their website for complete details.

There are a variety of food and beverage items available at multiple bar locations throughout the lobbies on the main floor and third floor.
At any given performance you may see evening gowns and blue jeans. Most people dress somewhere in between, i.e., business attire or Sunday best. Formal attire is always welcome but most of our patrons reserve it for premieres and gala.
Most importantly, you should dress comfortably—”life is short, opera is long,” the saying goes—and remember that if you want to dress up, the opera provides a perfect excuse!

Should you have any questions regarding ticketing please contact the Ticket Office at 313-237-7464. The first exchange is processed free of charge.
