Detroit Opera can come to you!

Let the artists of the Detroit Opera Touring Ensemble perform a one-act opera, musical revue, or concert for your school! Our programs are for all audiences and last 45 to 60 minutes.

Our performances qualify for grant assistance from the Michigan Humanities Council.

The Three Little Pigs

The Three Little Pigs

Detroit Opera's George Shirley Youth Opera Series presents The Three Little Pigs by John Davies. This classic children’s story comes to life through the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as three little pigs must figure out how to build their own house as grown-ups do. While Cherubino Pig and Don Giovanni pig just want to play and have fun, Despina Pig goes to the library and learns how to build a strong house to protect her family. Children and adults will be drawn to this colorful and engaging performance.
