My daughter and I saw Blue together on Sunday, 9/12. We enjoyed it but, we couldn't understand most of the singers, especially the females. With no subtitles, it was hit or miss. We both feel that if we had had the words, it would have been more meaningful. The dancers were a bit distracting. The performers had wonderful voices, especially the father role. The subject was powerful and very emotional, particularly the epilogue. All in all, a great evening!

Beautiful venue, wonderful voices, and tired subject matter.

Can't say enough about the performance from every single performer! To have my ethnicity of African American represented through awesome sounding voices of the Opera bought Joy to my heart! The performance and storyline was phenomenal, thank you so much for bringing it to Detroit on a beautiful waterfront which made it the best backdrop. Thank you Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre and a Detroit Opera House!

This stellar performance in an historic venue named for a Queen was exactly what Detroit needed. Powerful. Relevant. Necessary. Bravo.
